Background & Objective:This assignment is intended to, a) evaluate your research skills, and b) recognize the value of skilled trades in the context of community outreach service. The expertise of skilled trade workers serve as valuable in (re)building better community infrastructure, especially in lowincome areas. Habitat for Humanity Canada is a not-for-profit organization that builds homes for low-income families in partnership with other groups. For example, they have established The Indigenous Housing Partnership to create safe, problem-free, affordable places to live. Theorganization helps equip indigenous communities with the trade skills and resources to build their own homes. Instructions:Students are to assume that they, a skilled trade worker, are part of The Indigenous Housing Partnership. Using the research skills discussed in the relevant module/lecture, students are expected to complete a basic online search for the following:1. The name and brief description of ONE company/organization (other than Habitat for Humanity) who is also involved in helping to build communities for Indigenous communities.
2. An identification of at least THREE trade skills essential for home building with one-two sentences briefly describing why each are essential.
3. An identification of at least TWO resources (e.g., hydro power) essential for home building in remote Indigenous communities with one-two sentences briefly describing why each are essential.
EXEMPLE1. The name and brief description of ONE company/organization (other than Habitat for Humanity) who is also involved in helping to build communities for Indigenous communities.
