Assessment Task Detail and Instructions:
This assessment enables you to explore an area of interest to you with reference to ethics and professional practice within the contemporary construction industry within a 2000 word report.  This will include a mini critical ‘literature review’ of the issue, and you are also asked to develop an ethical proposal for its enquiry in the real world, using the ARU Research Ethics Application Form. The completed ethics form is not included in your word count.
This will help you gain a better understanding of ethics in practice, and also support you in the production of your ethics proposal for your final year dissertation.
You will need to submit the Literature Review, Methodology, Ethics form, ethics quiz result evidence (min 70%) and PIS/PCF (if relevant) all in one document. Intended learning outcomes for the assessment
This assessment will meet LOs 1-3:
1. Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the key ethical issues within the contemporary construction industry.
2. Demonstrate an understanding of ethical methods of enquiry and propose a suitable approach for its implementation in practice.
