Write a comprehensive assessment of a consumer, including:
A clear introduction (of the consumer and scope of the essay)
A diagnosis (confirmed or provisional): medical and/or DSM 5
A formulation with these section headings:
Presenting complaint
Predisposing factors
Precipitating factors
Perpetuating factors
Protective factors
Recovery goals
A care plan
A conclusion
Cite relevant literature to support each factor identified. THESE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS.
Criteria 1
The submission presents an in-depth understanding of and engagement with the case scenario and formulation; clearly outlining an introduction of the consumer and the essay and the precipitating, perpetuating, protective, and predisposing factors. Presenting complaint, MSE and diagnosis/es have been included in detail. Consumer and carer perspectives and recovery goals are detailed in a care plan informed by the formulation, biopsychosocial needs and stage of change.
Conceptual understanding of task
Criteria 2 Structure/ organisation/ task completion. The submission completes all required aspects of task to an exemplary standard. Ideas are presented in concise, coherent (logical) and cohesive (linked) manner, organised and sequenced (e.g. clear paragraphing; use of headings or sections where appropriate; formatted appropriately). The message is very clear, the reader finds the writing easy to follow; errors in expression rare and non-distracting; content highly relevant.
Criteria 3. Evidence of research and citation. The submission provides evidence of systematic research with use of relevant and contemporary evidence collected discriminately from a wide range of appropriate sources. Systematically integrates source information; evaluates and synthesises information retrieved with own ideas. Consistently uses APA 7th style guide for in-text reference citations and formatting of reference list; in-text citations match reference list.
