Health care managers must assure that clinical staff have the support needed to prevent, minimize, and solve clinical ethical issues that arise. Primary responsibility of health care managers is to foster an environment that can provide necessary and quality health care at maximum profit. they keep up with relevant health care laws, technology and standards, and represent their organizations at external meetings, such as community forums and investor gatherings, to determine health care needs how medical decisions affect the procedures and finances of their facilities, managers conduct regular meetings with doctors, vendors and patients.
I believe the biggest issue to encounter would be providing affordable care to patients. rising costs in almost every area have been impacting hospitals and healthcare providers as well as patient willingness to seek care. Parts of these rising costs are due to increased costs in pharmaceuticals, insurance premiums, and healthcare spending. Regulatory issues in healthcare also impact financials in several ways. I would say due to those reasons it makes it hard to provide affordable care for patients.
Discussion #2 S.M.
The primary responsibility of health care managers is to foster an environment that can provide necessary and quality health care at maximum profit. They determine budgets, order and receive supplies, administer payroll and benefits, and distribute regular communications. Health care executives have a responsibility to recognize and address the growing number of complex ethical dilemmas they are facing. They cannot and should not make decisions alone or without a sound decision making process that considers diverse viewpoints. The moral obligation as a health care provider in regards to the ethical behaviors have four main principles of ethics, autonomy, beneficence, justice, and non-maleficence. Each and every patient has the right to make their own decisions based on their own beliefs and values. Some examples of ethical responsibilities would be patient privacy, transmission of diseases, relationships, end of life just to name a few. Making a poor ethical decision a manager is subject to be influenced by their own reactions. Quickly addressing and correcting the incident it shows a conviction to reinforce standards, coaching the employee on a more ethical approach is a key follow up.
